Repair Technologies — Developing Thatcham's UK insurer repair technology standards Vehicle Security — Improving security standards for cars, light commercial vehicles, heavy commercial vehicles and motorcycles Vehicle Safety - Assessing the effectiveness of seats in reducing the risk of whiplash Group Rating - Insurance group rating of cars and light commercial vehicles Crash Testing - Impact testing for safety, accident damage reduction and insurance group rating Times and Methods — Establishing panel removal/replacement times and defining crash repair methods Our research programme is developed with the aim of controlling insurance costs and improving safety for all road users. Within this context, our principal insurer, vehicle manufacturer and repairer stakeholders all benefit from the services that we provide and our role as an independent research centre at the heart of the motor industry.
